It is fulfilling to realise that you have achieved something.
To be struck by creativity and imagination.
To be excited by the creative process and the thought of the outcome.
To embark on the journey of creation with anticipation of what could be.
But then something happens…
The novelty wears off and the zeal wanes.
The excitement gives way to practical questions and difficulty and the focus gives way to distraction–other shiny objects on the horizon. More and more options appear.
The current project is left to grow cold and unfinished.
How I loathe almost finishing something.
Focus focus and focus. Follow through and finish.
Write your ideas down and keep them.
Return again and again and finish what you start.
